{Victoria College (house) at the University of Toronto}

Though I’ve been displaying a bit of some intense and rather¬†unacceptable¬†MIA, I think it’s safe to say that I’ll be having a lot more free time now that I’m finally settled into school. Moving to a new country is indeed scary (especially when it is by yourself) but after meeting a few super sweet people who become some of your closest friends, it gets so much easier. This past week has been full of much amazement. An inauguration ceremony, flute audition, meeting new people, late night movies with floor mates, enjoying the beautiful architecture of this University…I think it’s safe to say that this year will be one of the best in my life.

Trenched Out

image

With my desperate search for the perfect spring trench before summer strikes, its no surprise I’ve been spending a lot of my time at Burberry staring at their thousand dollar inspirations. I’ve always been a die-hard fan of anything Burberry, but I’m afraid now, its become an obsession. Unfortunately, I won’t be able to splurge around 3k on a trench (no matter how gorgeous it may be) but I’ll let you know the second I find my match.

Mornings and Mondays

This morning was both very relaxing and enjoyable. I’ve spent the day off so far by waking up at my leisure, running, enjoying a lavender scented bubble bath, reading a lot of VOGUE, and getting late breakfast at Panera Bread. (There’s something so soothing about hours spent at a coffee shop enjoying warm pastries and discussing life with close friends.) Hope your Monday’s going great!

Morning Muses

{Remains of some extremely good hot coco}

This morning was both extremely busy and yet very relaxing. I woke up a few minutes before the alarm went off (don’t you hate it when that happens?) and used the extra time to take an especially long, steaming hot shower (my favorite place for deep thinking). The rest of the day seems pretty busy: doing some last minute packing, a few hours of flute practice, and driving up to the airport.

This past week has been spent studying for several tests and long hours of flute practice. Not all has been a rush of work though, I’ve enjoyed a few evening walks, a very long bubble bath, and breakfast with two close friends. Though it’s been busy, I’ve still dedicated some of my room time to great music. I came across “Far Away” as I listened to every Ingrid Michaelson song the internet provided. The sweet, sincere lyrics and warm melody are ideal for a late night of last-minute cramming and warm peppermint tea.

I want to go far away,

Late Night Inspiration

image

With nine hours of rehersal, late night snow fall, and finding hidden coffee shops, today was both inspiring and exhausting. Though its currently only 6:30, I’m more than exhausted and ready to take advil pm, flop on the hotel beds, and sleep like a bear until tomorrow morning (5:45). However, I’m currently headed to Granite City for some chow with a few friends (one with a rather adorable hat). But before I stuff my face with American food, here are a few inspiring pictures I found on tumblr. Have a great weekend!
