Overview

Despite my recent displays of severe mia, I’ve still been thinking a lot about this blog. Though I’ve been busy with school work (naturally, the end is the busiest time of year), many exams, flute, attending music concerts, seeing friends, and enjoying the city, all the hype and fun make me long more than ever for the much awaited summer holiday. I already have a mental list of all the things I wish to get done (hopefully I’ll jot it down on some paper soon). With only about a week and a half left of studies it’s hard not to already believe school is over and give up on all the busy work teachers keep throwing at us. Even with the last taste of end-of-year angst, I know I must continue and (as my teachers put it) “race to the finish line”. Hope you’ve been well!

{A few much needed fashion books}

The past few days feel like they were years and years ago. With the much anticipated summer holiday inching closer with every sunrise, it’s hard to continue focusing on anything school-related.  Despite the feeling that I’ve already finished my schooling, and the irresistible urge to ignore my homework, I know that I need to continue my studies for the next few weeks. Even so, I’m sure it will be impossible to follow through. On the bright side, this week has  gotten off to an excellent start. My Sunday was spent doing god knows what (I’ve already forgotten…) Yesterday I got out of school to visit the city, then gave a lesson, and went to a late band rehearsal. Today I was lucky enough to enjoy a much needed day off with close friends in the heart of Chicago. It was spent taking the train with some of the most incredible girls in the world, enjoying big breakfasts, walking around the “touristy” parts of the windy city, taking elevators, and thinking about things over a hot cup of tea. Before turning in and facing tomorrow, I thought I’d spend a bit of time sharing a few things that bring smiles to my face.

With only a few minutes remaining in class (around 3 or 4) before the much anticipated weekend, it’s hard to sit still and wait for the bell without many glances to the clock and taps of my foot. Now, I know I’m completely blowing off these last minutes typing away on my computer when I should be paying attention, but let’s be honest, it’s a lot more entertaining than listening to things we’ve already discussed before. So, instead of listening to my teacher give a pointless lecture, here’s an incredible editorial I’ve fallen in love with. Micheal Stonis’use of incredible angles and lighting will add a little more brightness to anyone’s day. Happy Friday!

With the days slowly lengthening and the weather slowly (yet surely) increasing, it’s hard to let worries hold you back from enjoying all that the beginning of March has to offer. Though I rarely do anything remotely exciting on Fridays (besides going to very exciting school) today I decided I would abandon my lame ways, enjoy some dinner with a few friends and go to a small party.  I also discovered another incredible store on Etsy. AmorDress sells a variety of stunning items that are more than lust-worthy. More than anything right now, I want to be holding one (if not all) of these incredible items in my hands. Despite their 15% off Valentines Day sale, I’m still beyond broke. Hopefully all those auditions somehow pay off. Oh, and here are some of my favorite pieces. Happy Friday!
